A Beautiful Day In Charleston

Good Shabbos, and I hope everyone has a good weekend ahead! Today was the first muggy, hot day in Charleston. And while its kind of gross, it also makes me smile. Now it finally feels like summer is near, even though that also means my graduation from college and entrance into the real world. So here's to the good times!

This weekend is going to be a little nuts, from the social aspect. Tomorrow morning I am going to a luncheon for the Society of First Families of South Carolina, who gave me a scholarship last year. I'm excited, but a little intimidated. My Bachelor's Essay advisor, Dr. Nicholas Butler is speaking at the Society's luncheon/meeting, and the Chair of the History Department, Dr. Olejniczak, will be sitting at my table. So I won't be completely alone, but I can guarantee I'll be the youngest person there.

Then tomorrow evening is A Charleston Affair, the last event of "Senior Week" at the College. Just a night of food, live music, and old friends coming back to visit Charleston. Hoping to see a lot of friends there.

Sunday is BEACH DAY! and a cook-out with the Jewish Student Union at Hampton Park.

So there will be more posts soon, hopefully with pictures. And G-d-willing I won't get a sunburn.
